The fall

So you'll have to forgive me...i've been slacking in the blogging department.

October has been one HELL of a month.. Ugh...

First off my grandma fell down OUTSIDE and sat outside for 4 hours. Why? Because I was down stairs doing things and she didn't tell me she was going outside, and 2nd because my mom wasn't home. Niether of us knew she was going out to the garage to "try" and find things for halloween...

So here is what happended....she was leaning on our wheel barrol that we have in our garage in front of all our decorations and i guess as she leaned on it, it moved and she fell backwards on her back.. she didn't hit her head thank goodness. After she fell she got on her back and rolled accross the floor over to her wheel chair thinking she could pull her self up, well that didn't work. So after that not working she decided to get on her hands and knees and crawl out of the garage and onto the patio...after being on her hands and knees to long she got back on her butt and started scotting herself towards our back steps.... she didn't make it very far because that's when i found her.

When i found her i walked out the door and all i could say was "What the HELL happened, and how long have you been out here?!?!" She simply smiled and said oh about 4 hours... Well that made me feel like crap..so i ran inside got her 3 blankets and dragged her HUGE oxygen tank into the kitchen because she had left her small portable one in my mom's car, and then called my mom...she came rushing home, right when she got there we called the ambulance.. (my grandma is to big for my mom or I to help her up) so they came and got her up, took all her vital signs and suggested that she go to the hospital in the ambulance. (after an older person is outside in the cold that long there muscles start to warm and if they warm to fast it can cause a heart attack) so they took her to Alta View in sandy. I of course was cool enough and got to ride in the ambulance with her. (it wasn't that fun) ha.

So we get to the hospital and they take her to her room and start getting her warmed up, and then they took x rays of her WHOLE body because she was having a lot of hip pain. Turns out nothing was broken thank goodness. She just had some scrapped up toes and knees from crawling on the garage floor. I thank god that's all that was wrong.

Well now it's been about what 2 or 3 weeks and she's home and feeling much better. Still cranky as always but doing much better.

Gah what a friday that was. Ha ha.

God bless my Grandma.

p.s. she's 78...
