Update!

Wow it's been awhile since i've blogged so I thought i should at least give everyone somewhat of an up date.. Ha.

Well first off i got a JOB!! I now work at Naartjie Kids in South Towne Mall. :) I love love love it! I get to see little kids every day and i get to help parents mix and match the cutest outfits you'll ever see. I am working almost every day, and if not every day every other day so it's very nice. I absolutely LOVE the people i work with. We all get a long and we all have goofy personalities so that makes it very light hearted at work most the time, except when my boss Crystal get's on a tangent about EVERYTHING being perfect. I love her to death but sometimes i just wanna scream!! Ha ha.

Uh that's honestly the only thing new that's going on right now.. Ha don't i have such an exciting life?

If you wanna check out the clothing that my store sells visit http://www.naartjiekids.com/

Loss

So this last week my mom and I found out that one of her friends in AA had passed away..We aren't really clear as to how she passes away, but my mom's initial instinct was that she had a drug overdose because the last time my mom had seen and talked to her the disease had completely consumed her life....That was my initial thought as well though..

When my mom first told me that she had passes away i was in total shock..i think i was more effected by her death then my mom....and my mom was close with her for many years except for these past three because Jackie decided to go back out and use...anyways...I think effected me because i thought to myself "I don't wanna have to bury my mom because of this disease, I don't want this horrible disease to take her from me" after having these feelings and thoughts i talked to my mom about it... and the first thing she said to me was "Jess, I love you and that is NEVER going to happen" and the next thing i said was "Well how do you know?" she replied saying "Because i am willing and ready to get better for myself. I don't want this disease to kill me either" after hearing her say that it made me feel somewhat better...

Still i have been having the same thoughts though, about it. I guess that's what happens with a death effects you that much. Another reason I know it has effected me is because Jackie herself had two young daughters around my age. Jerzy 24 and Taylor 19. Jerzy and I went to high school together and later reconnected when our mom's started to hangout more. When i saw her at the view and funeral yesterday and Sunday i instantly pictured that being me.. i know that sounds crazy and stupid after talking with my mom but that's how i felt... it's a weird feeling..a feeling that right now for me can't even be put in words..

The services for Jackie were so very beautiful. Beautiful flowers, beautiful talks given by her two daughters, sister, father and aunt. They all had great beautiful memories of her. And they forever and always will. One thing i am so very sad about though is that Jacki had a grand baby on the way...but one thing her father did say in his talk was "Girls, just know that your mother get's to meet your babies even before you do, she get's to tell them all the great things about you before they even enter this realm we call life" Right when he said that i started sobbing. It made me think about my grandparents that have passed away and how they are up in heaven playing with my future children and telling them all about me... It's such a beautiful thing to know that. And i am blessed to know that.

So all in all the world lost a beautiful soul this week, but now she returns to be with her heavenly father. You will forever and always be missed Jacki, and i know that you are only a whisper away. Love and Light to you and may you fly with the Angels.

Eat. Pray. Love.

So tonight i down loaded the movie Eat. Pray. Love. and let me tell you, that movie is AMAZING. I feel like I watched it at the perfect time in my life. There were parts in that movie that were totally me. Totally what i'm going through...

Right now i'm really working hard on forgiveness...not only am i working on forgiving myself but i'm working on forgiving my mom. The last few months we have had a rock relationship....again. If you know my history with my mom and the background of it then you know what I am talking about. I don't really wanna get into what's going on right now, but i will sooner or later.

Anyways..back to the movie. My most favorite actress since i was 5 is in this movie. The beautiful, talented Julia Roberts. I have loved her since I saw Steal Magnolias when i was 5 years old with my mom. I know every line to that movie like it's the back of my hand. Some may find it weird, but yes i LOVE that movie and always will. Ha ha.

Now her being in this movie made me love her and adore her so much more, this movie is my "new" Steal Magnolias.. i could watch this move every single day and not get sick of it. That's how much it has made me think about my life, and what i am going through right now.

If you haven't seen it I suggest you watch it, it's amazing and will make you cry, laugh and think. <3

There is one priticular line in the movie where she says " God dwells within you, as you. God dwells within me as me." and another line that got to me was " in order to heal we must trust" that one i am working on soly every single day of my life right now. Trusting and Healing...

As for the God quote..that also made me think and remember my summit experience...I am a part of God..I am God. I am one of his perfect creations. He is IN me and I am IN him. We are all ONE with God. And so it is.

Like i said before this is the number one movie on my charts these days, and if you haven't seen it then watch it. And if you have seen it....well watch it again. It's a great movie. :)

Love and Light to all.

Baby Spike

Okay so it's been a little while since i've wrote anything, and I apologize.
It seems like my life has been going a mile a min these past couple of months...

So a month ago we put our baby Spike down. :( It broke my heart..I had, had her since 5th grade... I got her from my grandma Ina that passed away in 2001.. When my grandma moved from Magna she couldn't take her to her new place in Murray, so i took her in :) I knew she was ment to be mine though from the first day my grandma got her.

The very FIRST day my grandma got her I took her out to pee, and layed down on the grass and instead of Spike peeing on the grass, well she decided to pee on my head. Ha ha. At that time it wasn't funny at all, but now that i think back to it it's hilarious. Ha ha. Ohhhh Spike...

So on October 11th we took our old girl in and had her put down, she lived a long amazing life. She was 19, bind and deaf. :( I now know that she is in a much better place, but i still feel like I killed part of my soul, i feel like i killed what i had left of my grandma.. that's such a horrible feeling. Ugh.. i'm still having a hard time with it..

I am still having flash backs of us burying her in our back yard.. I guess in time all things heal. But i know it's going to take awhile. :(

Here is a poem that my aunt sent me.

It's going to make you cry so beware....

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Author unknown...

I love and miss you my baby spike. You will always be in my heart, and i'll see you on the other side of Rainbow Bridge...

p.s. yes we had a girl dog named Spike. lol...

The fall

So you'll have to forgive me...i've been slacking in the blogging department.

October has been one HELL of a month.. Ugh...

First off my grandma fell down OUTSIDE and sat outside for 4 hours. Why? Because I was down stairs doing things and she didn't tell me she was going outside, and 2nd because my mom wasn't home. Niether of us knew she was going out to the garage to "try" and find things for halloween...

So here is what happended....she was leaning on our wheel barrol that we have in our garage in front of all our decorations and i guess as she leaned on it, it moved and she fell backwards on her back.. she didn't hit her head thank goodness. After she fell she got on her back and rolled accross the floor over to her wheel chair thinking she could pull her self up, well that didn't work. So after that not working she decided to get on her hands and knees and crawl out of the garage and onto the patio...after being on her hands and knees to long she got back on her butt and started scotting herself towards our back steps.... she didn't make it very far because that's when i found her.

When i found her i walked out the door and all i could say was "What the HELL happened, and how long have you been out here?!?!" She simply smiled and said oh about 4 hours... Well that made me feel like crap..so i ran inside got her 3 blankets and dragged her HUGE oxygen tank into the kitchen because she had left her small portable one in my mom's car, and then called my mom...she came rushing home, right when she got there we called the ambulance.. (my grandma is to big for my mom or I to help her up) so they came and got her up, took all her vital signs and suggested that she go to the hospital in the ambulance. (after an older person is outside in the cold that long there muscles start to warm and if they warm to fast it can cause a heart attack) so they took her to Alta View in sandy. I of course was cool enough and got to ride in the ambulance with her. (it wasn't that fun) ha.

So we get to the hospital and they take her to her room and start getting her warmed up, and then they took x rays of her WHOLE body because she was having a lot of hip pain. Turns out nothing was broken thank goodness. She just had some scrapped up toes and knees from crawling on the garage floor. I thank god that's all that was wrong.

Well now it's been about what 2 or 3 weeks and she's home and feeling much better. Still cranky as always but doing much better.

Gah what a friday that was. Ha ha.

God bless my Grandma.

p.s. she's 78...
